Foothill Fence Company Background

Foothill Fence was a dream of owner Carl Arentz that started in the 1980s. The fence company went into business in April 2000, but wasn't officially named until February 2002.

The company name - Foothill Fence - comes from Carl's love of the San Gabriel Mountains, the foothills where he played as a child, and works today with volunteer organizations.

Winners of Angie's List Super Service Award - Fencing

In December 2011, Foothill Fence was pleased to announce that it received the Angie's List Super Service Award for 2011 in the fencing category. This is the fifth year in a row that Foothill Fence has accomplished this impressive feat.

According to Angie's list, the Super Service Award is earned by companies that achieve and maintain a superior service record on Angie's List.

Best in the Fence Industry

Carl stumbled into the fence industry by accident in 1980, and found that he liked it and was pretty good at it. He was fortunate to have learned the trade from true craftsman who took pride in their work, and taught how to do the job right.

In the 30 years he's been in the business, Carl has worked for many companies. From the smallest Ma and Pa types to the largest in Southern California. This has allowed him to choose the best each has to offer and build his own business into what he believes is the best in the fence industry.

Foothill Fence is small enough to have that personal touch and large enough to handle any residential or commercial project. Each crew has a foreman present at all times, and Carl, the owner, is always available to his customers.

Foothill Fence's mission is to take the stress out of hiring a contractor and make it a pleasant experience. Foothill Fence has chosen to strive to be the best, rather than the biggest, which puts them head and shoulders above the rest.
