Do you install wood fences sold by Home Depot, Lowes or other retailers?

Typically our fences are what we call stock built, we try to get construction grade materials, which are usually found at the listed retail stores. However, if you would like to purchase from those stores, we can give you an estimate for installation only.

Can you custom build and install a wood fence for me?

Yes, We have been around for 20+ years, most of our fences are built from high quality handpicked materials.

Can I buy a wood fence from you, but install it myself?

No, we are an install company, we require materials for your particular job, ourselves.

Do you repair wood fences or wood gates?

Yes, we do repair wood fences and gates. A thorough evaluation of your materials will determine whether a repair or rebuild should take place.

Do I need to stain my wood fence?

Most wood fences don’t need any staining or sealing however some stains and sealers can extend the life and beauty of the wood materials.

Do you offer wood staining and painting services?

We don’t stain fences for our customers. However we would be happy to refer you to our recommended staining and painting contractors.

How long is your warranty?

1-year warranty: the standard “one year expressed limited warranty” also known as the fit and finish warranty is an industry standard and a California law, and is considered an implied warranty.

4-year warranty: A licensed contractor is required to give a warranty on items installed under his/her license to be free from defective installation including, but not limited to the local codes and manufacturers installation requirements for up to four years after the completion of a job. The claim may be made on any defect, either known or unknown and discovered within the four-year period.

Some materials may include an additional warranty for materials. Aluminum railings have a 25-year warranty for materials, vinyl has a lifetime warranty, and Trex has a 25-year limited warranty for residential applications. We always try to pick materials that will withstand the elements as best as they can in their elements.

What is your fence purchase process?

We recommend you understand as much as possible about our fence purchase process. Our objective is to provide you with step-by-step information to help you make an informed decision to hire Foothill Fence as your fence contractor.

Step 1: Inquiry
Contact us by phone at (818) 995-8380 or online form. We’ll answer all of your fence questions.

Step 2: Estimate
We’ll schedule an appointment to meet with you at your home or business. Our estimator will review and measure your yard, talk with you about what you would like the fence to accomplish, help you select fence styles and types, and follow up with a written fence estimate.

Step 3: Contract
When you are ready to proceed, you sign a written fence contract and submit it to us, with the appropriate deposit. We accept Visa, Mastercard, cash, money orders and personal checks.

Step 4: Installation
Once the contract is signed, we will order any necessary materials and contact you to schedule a fence installation date. We ask that all homeowners are available for approximately 15 to 30 minutes on the first day of install for one final review of the layout of your fence and final placements of your gates. A typical residential fence installation is completed in 1 to 5 days.

Step 5: Completion
Once the installation is complete and you have reviewed the job, expect a follow-up phone call to ensure that the installation meets your satisfaction. Once the fence completion is done, the final payment is due.

Step 6: Follow Up
We will mail you a thank-you letter and respond to any follow-up issues in a timely manner. We stand by our work and know that satisfied customers are our best source of additional business.
